Tarro to Shortland - Trunk Watermain Project

Following the Ash Island Trunk main project's success, Girri Birrang, in partnership with Diona, was contracted to replace an aging pipeline from Tarro to Shortland. This vital project was primarily located within the Hexham Swamp and Nature Reserve.

Project Need

The original pipeline, a crucial part of the water supply system connecting several areas, was over 85 years old and experiencing efficiency issues. Regular leaks and maintenance requirements were impacting local industry and reducing the network's overall capacity.
