Girri Birrang Finalist for Emerging Indigenous Enterprise of the Year

NSWICC Summit 2024 – Girri Birrang named finalist for Emerging Indigenous Enterprise of the Year. Event at Rydges Resort, Hunter Valley, 11-12 November. Learn more at nswiccevents.com.

We’re excited to share that Girri Birrang has been named one of three finalists for the Emerging Indigenous Enterprise of the Year award at The Summit 2024!

When Jarrod Smith began his journey to reconnect with his Indigenous heritage and create opportunities for others, renaming the company to Girri Birrang – meaning ‘far horizon’ or ‘red horizon’ – marked the start of a meaningful path.

This nomination recognises our efforts to bridge cultural and community horizons, empower Indigenous Australians, and build futures that honour both tradition and progress.

We’re looking forward to celebrating the achievements of Indigenous businesses at The Summit Awards Dinner on 12 November.

A huge thanks to NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce and everyone who has supported us on this journey.
