Girri Birrang supported Diona in delivering key aspects of the Belconnen Trunk Sewer Augmentation – a project aimed at upgrading ageing infrastructure to better service the Belconnen, Gungahlin, and Hall regions.

Project Need
The augmentation was undertaken to modernise sewer infrastructure originally constructed in the 1960s, improving reliability and capacity for the region’s growing population.
Our Focus
Corridor close-out activities such as final trims, topsoiling, and reinstatement works.
Site preparation across four Odour Control Unit (OCU) sites, including access tracks and grading.
Delivery of works to meet tight delivery timeframes.
Our Objectives
Works were carried out in sensitive environments with care taken around flood-prone areas and existing creek systems.
All activities were delivered in line with project-specific environmental requirements.
