The need for the Belconnen Trunk Sewer Augmentation arose from the necessity to modernise the 1960s infrastructure to support the expanding communities. The upgrade ensures a more resilient and efficient sewer system, catering to the current and future demands of the region.
Our Focus
Completion of a pipeline to increase sewer capacity.
Employing both traditional trenching and trenchless technology for pipeline installation.
Constructing a pipe bridge over Ginninderra Creek, incorporating stringent environmental measures.
Building multiple maintenance holes for easy access and upkeep of the pipeline.
Installing odour control units to minimise community impact and enhance environmental sustainability.
Our Objectives
Navigating environmental and technical challenges, such as creek flooding and unexpected weather conditions.
Prioritising sustainability, evidenced by repurposing removed trees for habitat enrichment at the National Zoo and Aquarium.
